En Marge (1995)

En Marge was the last journal Sidney Parker published, and only two issues were been printed. The title itself came from the name he would use now and again in Minus One (1963) and Ego (1982) for his own editorials. The phrase en marge itself translates of “in the margin”, and a phrase like en marge de la société could mean “on the fringes of society”. The title served both a typographic and social/philosophical implication.

As a side note, the scans of En Marge were provided by the University of Michigan Library, Joseph A. Labadie Collection, and these are the first uploaded of many items to come. We thank them for their assistance.

Prospectus

There is no “Prospectus” for En Marge per se, but in the last issue of Ego Parker issued the following statement:

“From the next issue Ego will be incorporated into Non-Serviam which is edited and published by Svein Olav Nyberg. However, I intend to issue occasional ‘viewsletters’, usually consisting of one or two A4 sized pages.”
