Dora Marsden Ephemera

1845-1945, Dora Marsden, Journals, The Egoist 1914 / Wednesday, April 27th, 2022

Two minor previously undocumented ephemeral mentions of Dora Marsden, editor of The Egoist.

First, two lines from the book-length poem The Atheist by George Bedborough (London: Garden City Press, 1919)…

“Dora Marsden writes well and so do her friends, / But The Egoist sometimes to crankiness tends.”

Second, an advertisement for The Egoist which appeared in Bruno’s Weekly Vol. III No. 19 (October 25, 1916)…
