American Address: V. F. Gordon

1845-1945, Bibliographic, Historical Work, John Basil Barnhill / Wednesday, August 10th, 2016

In The Eagle & The Serpent for June 1900 (Volume 1, Number 10) we read that the “American address” for purchasing egoist materials was “V. F. Gordon, 525, West Capitol Ave., Springfield, Illinois, U.S.A.” And just who might V. F. Gordon be?

She might be the author of the song My Golden Star

… as seen in this 1911 book of copyright notices. And Viola F. Gordon might be the woman who married John Barnhill in 1893.

The Union of Egoist continues its research into egoists of 1845 – 1945, both famous and forgotten.
